Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole
spirit, soul, and body
be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
If you only have twenty minutes, we really encourage you to spend it watching this animation by Andrew Wommack on Spirit, Soul and Body. If you want to renew your mind further, you can also read or listen to the teachings on this topic.
This teaching was foundational to understanding who we are in Christ when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and formed the basis of so much of our Christian transformation.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17
I remember vividly this remark in the video hat if we are fat before we accepted Christ, we are still fat after we accepted Christ and visually, it didn’t seemed like anything changed. So what part of us is a new creation? Understanding the process of transformation as we renew our minds in God’s word had been so essential in our walk with God, and relating to people, and receiving God’s best.
And Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.”
Mark 4: 26, 27
If you’ve always struggled with how things are not going “right” in your life, get started and renew your mind with this teaching and meditate on what God is showing you through His word. So many people want to microwave their miracle or treat God like a vending machine, but the Kingdom of God works on principles of seed, time and harvest. Or as Andrew Wommack says, seed, tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmmmmmmmmmeee and harvest.
A farmer understands that if he does not sow, there will be no harvest. Sowing in the context of our relationship with God is spending time meditating on God’s Word and allowing the incorruptible seed of His Word to work the transformation in our lives – we do not know how. But one thing is certain, if you are willing to spend time to know God through His word, you will realise that “You’ve already got it!” and understand how to receive God’s best.
