Jesus said to him,
“I am the way,
the truth,
and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.”
– John 14:6
if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
-Romans 10:9, 10
Suggested prayer to receive salvation:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I repent of my sin and thank You for dying on the cross to save me. I believe in my heart that You died and God raised You from the dead that I might become the righteousness of God in You. I thank You that from this moment on, I am saved and I am a child of God. I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I give my life to You and thank You that the fullness of God is in me and I am complete in You!
In Jesus name I pray, Amen
If you just prayed the above prayer, I rejoice with you over your salvation. The Bible says there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:4-8). You are now a new creation in Christ! I encourage you to head over to our page on Spirit, Soul and Body to understand further the transformation that you just happened when you prayed this prayer and feel free to contact us and let us know!
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. – Romans 5:17
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness – Ephesians 4:23, 24
In our page on God’s Love, we mentioned that John 3:16 says that whoever believes in Jesus shall have eternal life. John 17:3 also explains that eternal life is knowing God, and Jesus Christ whom He sent. When you love someone, it gives you great pleasure to spend time with your beloved. God desires fellowship with us and as we spend time to study the word and to know God, we will start to produce fruit in every area of our lives. We want to cover another two aspects after saying the salvation prayer, that are critical to a believer’s life – the baptism of the Holy Spirit and water baptism.
